On behalf of Wolaita Sodo University, I would like to welcome you to our research page. Since its inception in 2007, Wolaita Sodo University has been committed to developing cutting-edge research to enhance the lives of our local, national, and international communities.
It is an exciting time indeed to be a part of the research, community service and technology transfer activities here at Wolaita Sodo University, and those of us at Wolaita Sodo University who engaged in research, community service and technology transfer activities are proud to be associated with the exemplary projects we serve.
Wolaita Sodo University is one of the applied science university in Ethiopia focusing his research, community service and technology transfer activities on thematic areas of agriculture, engineering and technology, health, geology and science, humanities and tourism development. Wolaita Sodo University has a vision of becoming technology based centre of excellence in agriculture and health. To achieve this, we have prepared the ten-Year Strategic Plan (2021-2031) in a way that contributes for the growth and development of the nation through applied research
The Vice President for research, community engagement and technology transfer office has primary leadership responsibilities for planning, implementing, and coordinating the research, community service and technology transfer activities. Research projects initiated by universities can often yield very useful findings with direct bearings on policy initiatives, generation of new development insights, application of technologies and innovations, and ultimately on improving the quality of life of our citizens.
