5,776 students graduated from Wolaita Sodo University

The president of the university, Prof. Takele Tadesse, said 3,304 male and 1,964 female students have graduated from the main campus, Otona Teaching and Referral Hospital and Tarcha campus.
He also graduated 385 male and 63 female graduates in the master’s degree program and six male and one female doctoral candidates in the third degree program.

He said the university has produced more than 500,000 s

eedlings on the green fingerprint program.
He also said that he has provided 100 quintals of teff, 2 million birr in cash and other salaries to the university staff, including the monthly salary of the defense forces.
Guest of Honor, State Minister of Science and Higher Education, Dr. Geremew Hukaka on his part said the country is working on the quality and relevance of education.
He said the government is paying special attention to the country’s transformation and development.
He also called on graduates to serve faithfully in their beloved country.
It is stated that 185 of the graduates will remain at the university.
